Addicted to Sticky Notes

As a bit of a confession here.... I'm a bona fide list maker from WAY back.  It's not that I don't have a good memory.  My memory is fine, I just tend to forget where I put it.  lol

We purchase groceries on the weekend but I begin composing my grocery list in the middle of the week.  Beside the grocery list I keep a 'to do' list of things I want/need to accomplish during the week.  Checking those items off makes me feel like I am really accomplishing something good!

But my lists don't stop at listing.  I write sticky notes for nearly everything!  If someone phones and I need to save their number - I sticky note it to my desk.  If I find a neat website or some great information that I need to keep/share, I sticky note it.  Last week my son and his wife came to pick up a recliner we no longer wanted.  I stuck a note on my front door so that as they walked out they'd see that I needed them to stop at Walmart and pick up something for dinner that evening.

The night before last, I stuck a sticky note near some left-over chicken in the refrigerator to remind me that my husband wanted a bit more ranch dressing on his lunch-wrap sandwich I'd be making him in the morning.

Yesterday I had to take my car into the dealership for an engine-light issue, and I put a sticky note on my purse to remind me to take some home-made soup to my parents who live near there.

When I  jot down notes to help me with work I truly intend to file that information away somewhere - some day - one day.  But the sticky note stays plastered to my desk until all the sticky wears off and I'm forced to type the information into a file and toss the sticky note in the trash.

I'm surprised I haven't created a sticky note to remind me to file away the information on all my other sticky notes.  Or a sticky note to tell me to remember to make a sticky note about something.  Argh.  I've come to the realization that I'm a full-blown sticky note addict!

I don't have a clue what I used to do without sticky notes.  Maybe I wrote notes on paper and used tape to tape them up?  Maybe I just skated through life forgetting everything?

Or maybe... just maybe I wasn't as busy as I am today.

What about you?  Do you seem to be overwhelmed with busy times like me?  How do you handle it?  Sticky notes??
